My name is Michele Hansel. I am a licensed cosmetologist & natural-born intuitive. I have been expanding upon my professional cosmetology training and experience since 2011. I graduated from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Janesville, WI. I started my career working at Bellasazi Salon & Spa in Janesville, WI and then Clearwaters Salon & Day Spa in Williams Bay,WI before I decided to venture off on my own in 2016.

I pay reverence to the experience & training I acquired from my time at previous salons. That journey was a necessary step in the creation of my own space. Here’s how I operate differently at The Indigo Room:

*Harsh fumes from using conventional hair color irritated my lungs and I could no longer tolerate it. Now that I use ammonia-free hair color, I don’t experience asthma flare-ups or chemically-induced headaches. My guests will never smell any harsh fumes during their services, which is especially helpful to those who struggle with sensory issues.

*I always felt rushed working at other salons, so I pad my schedule to allow for extra time and I never double book my appointments. I prefer to give you my undivided attention because it allows me to be fully present and focused. That grants me the ability to offer the highest quality experience & results allowing you to truly feel pampered.

*I choose to work in private, without the potential of ridicule from other stylists. I say this because I believe you should walk away with the hair you want, whether it’s “on trend” or not. I consider myself fashion-forward and I pride myself in keeping up on the latest looks & techniques, but it’s more important to me that I cater to your own individual sense of style.

*I prioritize work/life balance. The rules & restrictions from other salons often imposed on my ability to genuinely show up at work. My guests are never just a number to me, because I have cultivated a lifestyle where I can truly be present and enjoy what I do. My ultimate goal as a hair artist is to make the relationship with you and the mirror a cathartic experience, because nothing in this world is more powerful than someone who can bear witness to their own divinity. That’s what motivates me, not competitive goal setting or quarterly numbers reports.

As far as my personal life, I’ve been married since 2011. We have two children together, born in 2015 & 2018. I’m an animal lover and have many pets to love on & care for. In my free time I love to workout, hike, read, meditate, travel, spend time with friends & family and study esoteric topics, such as astrology. I consider myself to be passionate & spiritually driven. I’m always seeking new ways to evolve & grow. I strive to be self-aware & self-reflective whenever an opportunity presents itself. I find so much peace in that process.

As an intuitive, I can channel messages, read emotional imprints, recall past or future events, clear energetic blockages, and other esoteric abilities. This is something I do sacredly and I’ve been mastering it since I was a little girl. It’s not a party trick, nor is it something to be afraid of. I’m an open book if you are curious about it, but I also understand if it’s not your cup of tea. I hold no judgment towards anyone else for experiencing different faiths.
